Ken Enticknap from The HMS Ardent Association presented challenge coins to members of the Royal Navy Sea Survival Training Centre in Portsmouth (Ardent Building) on the 1 September 2021. This was in recognition of their fundraising efforts for the RNRMC in March 2021 whilst completing the virtual return distance between SSTCs Ardent building in Portsmouth and the HMS Ardent memorial in Stafford.

Ken was also asked to talk to the current Sea Survival course about his experience, which was well received - they said that they want Ken back! Also at the centre there was the Warrant Officer attached to the school who just happen to be a boiler front stoker on HMS YARMOUTH (the ship that rescued ARDENT crew) 40 years ago. He told Ken that he was the one conducting boundary cooling from the corner of their quarterdeck. You can see him in the picture of them offloading our crew in the video presentation.

The Ardent Association was also presented a HMS Collingwood challenge Coin as a thank you.
