Petty Officer (Sonar) Tony Clements

It is with deep sadness that we report the passing of our shipmate Tony Clements.

Tony was one of the ASWDs during the conflict, and Pete has many fond memories of a gentle soul and close colleague. We last saw Tony at the National Memorial Arboretum a couple of years ago, and although he was struggling to walk, he appeared in good health.

His daughter, Vicky, said he had been struggling with PTSD, and the loss of his second wife in 2023 triggered a lot of pain. He battled bravely over the last few years, but eventually his body gave up on him. Our thoughts and condolences are with Vicky and all the family at this very sad time.
