Andrew “Andy” Andrews – Chief Stoker

It is with great sadness that we share the news that Andrew “Andy” Andrews, former Chief Stoker of HMS Ardent, passed away on Saturday following a very recent diagnosis of a rare and aggressive cancer.

Andy was a valued member of the ship’s company and will be remembered with respect and affection by those who served alongside him.

His children, Debbie and Ben, have shared that he was their rock, and that they are immensely proud of all he achieved throughout his life. His passing has come as a profound shock to the family, and they take some comfort in knowing he is now reunited with his beloved wife, Iris.

Our thoughts are with Debbie, Ben, and all of Andy’s family and friends at this difficult time.
